This month sees the start of our 7th year as an Umbraco Gold Partner. We've been committed to Umbraco since Founder Paul Marden, went all in with Umbraco launching Carbon Six Digital in 2009. Seeing the benefits to the agency, our clients and the Umbraco we joined the Gold Partner program in 2013.
In that time we've seen releases of Umbraco 4, 6 and 7 mature to become the world's most popular .NET based Content management system. Tools like Umbraco Forms, SEO Checker, Merchello, and Personalisation Groups have produced a technology platform that can compete with the leading proprietary CMS's such as Sitecore and Episerver, as well as Open source CMSs such as Wordpress and Drupal.
Carbon Six Digital has delivered and supported many Umbraco sites in those years. 2014 saw the launch of PulseMove, the connected fitness platform for gym equipment manufacturer Pulse Fitness, where Umbraco is the beating heart of nearly 100 sites in the UK, Ireland, Germany, China and soon to be the USA.
In 2016 we delivered an Umbraco powered Intranet for Harwoods Group to enable their staff to feel connected as one team delivering memorable experiences. This intranet featured SAML integration to provide Intranet users with single sign on, as well as our Social Media News Curation Plugin for Umbraco.
In the last year we've deepened our public sector practice, working with the UK Governments Joint Nature Conservation Committee on the EU funded EMODNet project and most recently on the JNCCs own website.
Moving forward the release of Umbraco 8 shows that Umbraco HQ has their eye on the future of the platform, with features such as infinite editing and content apps. The run up to Code Garden 2019, the Umbraco worldwide developer conference, saw the release of a slew of 3rd party packages which make Umbraco 8 a practical platform for new sites.
We're looking forward to many more years of developing sites on Umbraco, as a valued member of the Umbraco Partner family. Find out more about working with a Gold Partner, and get in touch to brief us on your next project.
