OUR TEAM
Our multidisciplinary team in the UK and US includes Umbraco Certified Masters and Professionals, alongside experts in marketing, brand development, consumer behaviour, innovation, growth and commercial strategy. Working in cross-functional agile teams enables us to react quickly to deliver high quality, well architected projects.
Our leadership team are established Project Managers with experience of delivering Web and Mobile Apps and CMS based websites over 20 years. They hold British Computer Society Certificates in Agile Project Management Methods, and have a wealth of experience in a wide variety of project and programme management methodologies including SCRUM, DSDM, PRINCE2 and MSP.
Our rigorous approach to process and continuous improvement has ensured that our methodology is understood and delivered consistently so that those we work with are kept up to date every step of the way, and are encouraged to take an active part in the development of their solution.

Paul Marden
Managing Director
Paul is the Founder and Managing Director of Carbon Six Digital. He is an Umbraco Certified Master who likes to think outside the box, often coming up with creative technical solutions that clients didn’t know were possible. Paul oversees business development and technical delivery, specialising in Microsoft technologies including Umbraco CMS, ASP.NET, C#, WebApi, and SQL Server. He's worked in the industry since 1999 and has vast experience of managing and delivering the technical architecture for both agencies and client side projects of all shapes and sizes. Paul is an advocate for solid project delivery and has a BCS Foundation Certificate in Agile.
Jo Marden
Finance and Business Administration Manager
Jo works in all aspects of the management and organisation of the business including long-term business and financial planning, long-term resource planning and recruitment, and monthly reporting. She's responsible for marketing as well as account management of our public sector tendering. She is also Programme Manager for Sustainability.
Jo has a PhD in Organisational Psychology, and a background in research, advocacy, marketing and communications in the Charity sector.
Alex Meyers
Engineering Manager
Alex is responsible for producing technical design, outlining development tasks required to meet project scope, solution build, test planning and creation. Alongside providing development and consultancy he's also responsible for our engineering processes and the quality of what we do.
Alex is an Umbraco Certified Master, Microsoft Technical Associate, and ElasticSearch Certified Developer, and was our first graduate in BA(Hons) Business and Management Practise on our Degree Apprenticeship Programme.
Alex Wilks
Senior Developer
Alex is a full stack developer, specialising in C#, TypeScript and React, with over 13 years of industry experience across agencies, international consultancy firms and product companies.
Alex is a leading member of the development team, and works on many of our large and complex projects, as well as providing support for existing clients.
Jack Chamberlain
Developer
As a full stack developer, Jack is responsible for a range of technical delivery tasks including support, functional and non-functional testing as well as technical support for our clients.
Jack joined Carbon Six Digital on our Apprenticeship Programme and graduated with an Advanced (Level 3) qualification. He's an Umbraco Certified Master and has experience of Hubspot CMS Hub.
Poornima Nayar
Associate Senior Developer
Poornima is responsible for the development of new features and functionality in our Umbraco Development team. Poornima's years of experience in Umbraco and more recently in Vendr means that she is able to quickly understand client problems and provide solutions to those real world problems.
Poornima is a Microsoft MVP and an Umbraco MVP, as well as being an Umbraco Certified Master. She is also a member of the Umbraco Headless Community which acts as a sounding board for Headless initiatives around the CMS and Heartcore.
David Champion
UI/UX Designer
As UI/UX Designer, David is a leading member of the front-end development team. He’s responsible for applying interactive and visual design principles on websites and web applications that continuously improve clients’ customer experience with best of breed marketing tools such as Umbraco and Hubspot.
David has over 15 years experience in UI/UX web design, having worked on both freelance projects and more in digital agency settings. He has an extensive background in designing for global companies in the travel and tourism industry.
Ross Watts
Developer
Ross is on a work placement with us as part of the new T-Level in Digital Production, Design and Development course.
He is working on both front-end and back-end development of a range of projects covering Umbraco and Hubspot sites and supports server maintenance tasks.
