A couple of weeks ago we pushed live a new site for our customersAcadustri. These guys are medical writers, helping large pharmaceutical companies produce all the vital reports and documentation needed to get new drugs approved.
Our brief was to produce a bespoke designed responsive website with email marketing and ongoing digital marketing support - a wide brief, but we feel we’ve done a great job.
From our initial engagement we undertook detailed research and ideation. I pitched the concept of a beautifully simple site, where the written word guided the reader and very little use of photography other than to show the human side of the business - the writers who deliver Acadustri’s projects.
In conjunction with our design partners at Ouno we produced high level wireframes and then detailed photoshop concepts for approval. During the build phase we took the signed off visuals and produced responsive Html using our favourite framework Foundation. We then built a CMS back end that was using Umbraco 7 so that its super easy to maintain.
Throughout the design and build our copywriter Emma from Word Squirrel worked with the Acadustri team to enable them to tell their story - unusual you might think for writers to employ a copywriter, but from our first engagement the Acadustri team recognised they weren’t marketeers and would benefit from external writing support.
The new site has been live for a few weeks and initial figures from Google show an increase in traffic.
